Campaign against workplace harassment

On Monday the 1st of June the Dutch Government has launched the campaign ‘Recognize bullying’. This campaign should make people aware about the consequences and the effect that bullying has on people at the workplace. In Dutch we use the word ‘pesten’ for bullying but ‘pesten’ doesn’t cover the subject, because in the Netherlands most people associate this word with behavior of children on the playground (I’ll tell you more about that in the next blog, published in the first week of July).

‘Spitting on Hans’ tosti’ was present during the days that the Dutch Government launched their campaign ‘Recognize bullying’. Present to draw attention to all the victims of workplace harassment and victims of sexual harassment in the workplace in particular. Most of the workplace harassment is about sexual harassment, which not only makes victims among women but also among men. On top off that we have same sexes harassment, so it goes much further than most of us realize.
